2012 Olympic Day cum Olympic Day Run is Now Open for Enrolment

“Move, Learn and Discover”; let’s run towards a healthy life!
2012 Olympic Day cum Olympic Day Run (2012 ODR) is scheduled to be held on 24 June 2012 (Sunday) at 7:45 a.m. in Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

Under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), ODR is an annual spectacular event organized by Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC). In response to IOC’s initiative, SF&OC will specially organize a sports carnival by combining the elements of a fun run, games booths, lucky draw, performances and sports demonstrations to encourage people from the community to implement the theme “Move, Learn and Discover”.
The route for 2012 ODR is around 5.6 km long. Participants will start the run from Disneyland Coach Park, running along Park Promenade, Waterfront Promenade, then turn at Sea Point Road towards Magic Road and finish at Inspiration Lake Recreation Centre. The route is suitable for individuals of all ages; you may experience the fun of running, at the same time, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Disneyland Resort area along this route. Valuable gifts will be given to the selected participants of the 2012 ODR right after the Olympic Day Run on that day.
Basic information of the event are as follows:-
Application Period : From now until 8 June 2012
Quota : 5,000 participants (on first-come-first-served basis)
Entry Requirement : Individuals of all ages and corporate teams are invited to take part
Entry Fee : Individual - HK$60 per person
Corporate Team - HK$6,000 per team (maximum of 10 persons)
Entry Form Distribution : Secretariat of SF&OC, Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association (HKAAA)
and the 18 District Offices of Leisure and Cultural Services Department
